 Sept 27

Papa Boudreaux's

sponsored by Chris & Stan Wruble

NOTE: Papa's Departure Moved up to 2 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, Sept. 27

I know we said it was ALL ABOUT THE FOOD,  but Stan & Chris have picked out some really great roads into Fly, TN, and they want to make sure we have plenty of time to enjoy the run. So, they have changed the departure time from the Cracker Barrel at I-40 and Charlotte Pike (Exit 201) to 2 p.m..  This will allow us to stay ahead of the Sunday evening crowd and not get left out in the cold. Respond early to thewrubles@comcast.net or 615-306-1197 cause Papa's "garontees" a full house.

Sunday, Sept. 27 - Papa Boudreaux's Cajun Cuisine in Fly, TN

OK Guys and Gals, normally we try to vaguely disguise a food run with some great twisties, but when it comes to Papa Boudreaux's Cajun Kitchen (www.papaboudreaux.com) at 3419 Fly Road in Sante Fe, TN, there is no pretense. IT's ALL ABOUT THE FOOD. The roads are just a tantalizingly convenient means to a delicious conclusion.

The Music City Miata Club just can't stay away from the place. We manage to find a way to return to our Cajun Mecca at least twice every year. If you are new to the Club, and God help you, have never tasted any of Papa's delightful Cajun concoctions, you are in for a special treat. Just ask anyone who has sampled the Red Beans & Rice w/Sausage; Shrimp Creole; Creole Fried Catfish; Chicken & Shrimp Creole; Shrimp & Crawfish Etoufee; Boudin Chicken & Andouille Jambalaya; Garlic Sausage w/Creole; Garlic Butter Shrimp w/Pasta; Chicken & Shrimp Pesto Pasta; etc.

Everything on the menu (www.papaboudreaux.com/santafe.pdf) is to die for. And check out the deserts, starting with the Louisiana Chocolate Bread Pudding anp the Pineapple-Apple Bread Pudding. And Papa is now serving coffee directly from the famous Cafe Du Monde in Nawlins. YOU GET THE PICTURE !

The really sad thing about this event is that, except on Monday night, when Papa allows you to order "all you can eat" of anything and everything on his Menu, you will not be able to sample all of his scrumptious bayou fare in just one trip. Of course, that's what is "garonteed" to bring you back, time and time again.

The Wrubles are issuing a special invite for you to join them at 3 p.m. PM on Sunday, September 27th at the Cracker Barrel at I-40 and Charlotte Pike (Exit 201). They'll be pulling out at 2 p.m.*, and it will take about 90 (?) minutes to wind around a few curves and work up an appetite. ETA at Papa's will be around 4:30 PM. Following dinner (never fear), someone will be available to help you find you way back home.

Papa approves of "imported" wine and beer. And there is not setup or corkage fee. Finally, Papa only accepts personal checks or good old American cash.

So, if you haven't come close to any good Cajun Cookin in awhile, why not let Stan or Chris Wruble know you are "hongry." RSVP at thewrubles@comcast.net or 615-306-1197.
