REMINDER ON SEDUCTIVE SAVANNAH

Jerry Hammock wants to remind all of you who are still pondering this Seductive Springtime Extrapolation, that "tempest does fugit." The rooms he has reserved at the Inn at Ellis Square (http://www.innatellissquare.com/) are being held open to Music City Miata Club members until, March 17th, at which time the reservation will revert back to the hotel. Rooms & rates can't be guaranteed past that date. The Hotel is located smack in the Heart of the Old Town Historic District, only one block from the River Front. The rooms are $139 per night for a King Room plus tax & parking. If you wish to step up to a slightly larger Suite, the rate goes to $159 per night plus tax & parking.

Those of you who decide to join us for this "Fling into Spring" (read warm sunshine, ocean breezes, brilliant flowers, etc.) should call the Hotel to reserve your room. The Hotel toll free # is (877) 542-7666. Just mention the block of rooms for the Music City Miata Club. If an issue arises, just ask for Linda Bell, and she will assist. Jerry indicates that we have (10) rooms spoken for, and only (2) rooms remaining, in the advance reservation. So, if you are still sitting on the fence, I would encourage you to go ahead and "hop on board".

Jerry is planning another great weekend in  Seductive Savannah. He has made arrangements for Bobby Brown, our outstanding tour guide from 2006 to again show us around Savannah on Friday evening ($16 each). Your tour will include an up-close-and-personal look at the Historic District, a tour of the City Cemetery, and a classic Ghost Tour. Then Jerry has made us reservations following the tour for 8:00 PM at one of the best know eateries in the city, Lady & Sons (http://ladyandsons.com/). Dinner is $23.76, with tax & tip. It is owned and operated by Paula Deen, best known for her appearances on the QVC Channel & always highlighted in Southern Living as one of the top restaurants in the Southeast. Jerry is thinking about taking us to a neat place called Dolphin Reef (http://www.dolphinreef.com/) on Tybee Island for breakfast on Friday or Saturday morning, back to The Crab Shack (http://www.thecrabshack.com/) on Tybee Island for dinner on Saturday, or possibly to a great little seafood place called Uncle Bubba's Oyster House (http://www.unclebubbas.com/). And we might even take some beachfront downtime on Tybee and just sit back & listen to the surf, while nursing a Margarita or Hurricane.

Don't miss the boat to Savannah. Let Jerry know you will be joining the fun (jerryhammock@comcast.net OR 615-883-1810). And remember, if you decide not to go, you'll just have to listen to all the great stories about what you missed, when we return.

Final details on takeoff point & time to follow.
