IMPROMPTUS are rare for the Music City Miata Club. And, a Friday afternoon event is even rarer. But Rachel Scism & Michelle Sands have found the perfect reason for you to take off work an hour or two early on Friday, Oct.7. The evening will start out at the Franklin Cracker Barrel at 4210 Franklin Common Court (Exit 65 on I-65) South of Nashville at 3:45pm. They'll pull out promptly at 4pm for a few backroads, arriving in Lewisburg at 5pm. Time to check out the Fainting Goats, get some food and stake out some turf to plant our chairs-in-a-bag.

 

The playoff between the top two bands (vying for a top prize of $2,000) begins at 6pm. Following selection of the Grand Prize winner, Lorrie Morgan will take the stage at 8pm for an hour or so of some of her best music.

 

This is one of those events the club returns to every year or so. And Rachel & Michelle think it's time we went back in for another dose. It's always a fun time. Just ask Vic Davis about the scrumptious Goat Burgers.
