 TRIFECTA - Veteran's Day Parade, Patti's & Metropolis
---Sponsored by Mike & Gail Schultz

The Schultz have quite a day planned for the Music City Miata Club on Saturday Nov. 7. They are planning another Club "TRIFECTA" proving that good things do happen in "threes."

To start the day, we will be participating in the annual Veterans Day Parade in Clarksville TN at 10 a.m. in appreciation for our veteran's sacrifice and service to our country. We'll be dressing our little Miatas up in the traditional RED, WHITE & BLUE "clothing," resplendent with flags and color-coordinated helium filled balloons.

Mike has selected some great inspirational, patriotic music, to be broadcast through our car stereo systems, as we run the parade route and interact with all of the local town people and Fort Campbell military personnel. This experience is guaranteed to boost your spirits as you show your appreciation for our freedom and those that preserve it. BTW, we do expect to take first place honors again in our parade class.

Following the parade and removal of the decorations, Mike has a real treat planned for those of you who like good food. He has picked out some scenic backroads from Clarksville to Patti's 1880's Settlement, 1759 J. H. O'Bryan Avenue, Grand Rivers, Kentucky (http://www.pattis-settlement.com/index.htm),888-736-2515,  with a reservation set for 2 p.m.

For those of you who have never experienced Patti's, it is a "Destination" eating establishment located in the heart of Grand ,KY. The Settlement actually consists of three venues, including Patti's, Bill's & the Iron Kettle. The Settlement has been Voted #1 by Southern Living Magazine's Reader's Choice Award for Best Small Town Restaurant in the Southeast United States. Check out their Menu:http://www.pattis-settlement.com/pattis_menu.htm

And, believe me, they do no disappoint. Their specialty is a 2-inch thick Pork Chop grilled to perfection, Kentucky Hot Brown and Sawdust Pie. This place is one of the most popular eating establishments in a four-state area, and is not to be missed.

Once we manage to push back from the table, and for those of you who have some "git-up-and-go" left, Mike & Gail have one additional leg planned for the Trifecta. For the gamblers in the group, we'll saddle up at 4 p.m. and head up the road a piece to Metropolis IL. We should arrive at Harrah's Metropolis Casino, 100 East Front Street, Metropolis, IL (http://www.harrahsmetropolis.com/) just before 5 p.m., where we can either drop a load OR, make our fortune, and then depart for Nashville, whenever the urge strikes -- or the money runs out.

BOY, what a day the Schultz have planned for you! To start it off, we'll be meeting at the Clarksville Cracker Barrel, 200 Cracker Barrel Drive, Clarksville, TN  (I-24, Exit 4) at 7:30 a.m. for a bit of breakfast. And we will be pulling out at around 8:40 a.m. to assemble for the Veterans Day Parade, with a full tank, a full belly and an empty bladder.

So get ready for what may be our last road trip of the season. Feel free to sign up for one, two, or all three legs. But do let the Schultz know you want to Join The Fun on the Veteran's Day Trifecta.
