Mark your calendar's for this trip down memory lane to Stratton's in greater downtown Ashland City TN. A visit to Stratton's is like a trip back in time to the 50's -- without the poodle skirts, saddle oxfords & ducktail haircuts.
But Stratton's supplies all the nostalgia & great food that you might expect from Mel's Diner in American Graffiti -- and then some. Look for the biggest & juiciest burgers in Tennessee, along with the best hand dipped shakes & malteds around. You won't want to miss the ambience, including the shiny interior and the old-fashioned Juke Box, playing your favorite tunes.
Following our meal at Stratton's, Sam & Chrissy will lead us across some great country backroads to Dickson TN, where we'll congregate on the back two rows at the Broadway Drive-In Theater and catch a newly released movie.
We'll all park in the back rows, but it won't quite be the same as in the 50's when there was more going on in the back seat than on the screen -- cause the tops will be down, and there are no back seats. We'll spread out between the rows, set up our "chairs-in-a-bag," slap on some bug spray, crank up our Boom Boxes, and party our way through an warm evening on the down side of Summer.
Whether you are a "died-in-the-wool" Drive-In Junkie, OR you haven't been to a Drive-In in 30 years, Sam & Chrissy promise you'll have an evening to remember.
We will be meeting at the northwest corner of the 100 Oaks Shopping Center (just off of Thompson Lane) and will depart for Ashland City at 4 p.m.
