MiataWorld II in Dallas TX - May 21st thru May 25th 2009
The Sands are going to Dallas TX to Celebrate the Miata's 20th Birthday & to win the new Special Anniversary Edition Miata to be given away during the Celebration. Let us know if you will be joining the fun. You must register on line and registration will be limited. So don't get left in Nashville. The website (www.MiataWorldII.com) will be activated on, or shortly after, May 21st.

There will lots of things to see and do in the Dallas / Fort Worth area, so you are encouraged to come early & stay late.
Many of the details about the event are still in the planning stages and being worked out. However, we hope to have the registration site up and running by the end of May (we are working with a vendor for the registration site, so this date may slip a little). The event will be held at the Gaylord Texan. Here is a link to the hotel, http://gaylordhotels.com/gaylordtexan. This is a great facility and we have a great rate negotiated with them. They are unable to take reservations more than a year in advance so they should be ready for reservations about the same time our registration site is ready. We will have 3 different events at the Texas Motor Speedway, http://www.texasmotorspeedway.com. You will be able to drive the big oval in your Miata, you will be able to drive the "Inside Track" and there will be a sanctioned SCCA rally as well. TMS is opening part of the stands, the pit area, bathrooms, and vending for our event. There may even be a sactioned Mazda Cup Race on Sunday. All three of these events should be available on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (Sunday may be shortened due to the Mazda Cup Race). There will be multiple Drive Outs on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, some special interest runs, a trip to the Fort Worth Zoo, and time to visit with fellow Miatphiles. Miata to give away as a door prize at the big banquet on Sunday as well as many other items of interest.

As you may know by now, this is the biggest birthday party ever for the Miata, now 20 years old. With over 400,000 loyal owners in North America, clubs from all over the U.S. Mexico & Canada will be pouring into Grapevine TX over Memorial Day weekend of 2009 to help welcome the teenager to adulthood. It is the most popular sports car of all time. And we get to throw a party with 1500 guests in appreciation for our little car.
A very big celebration is planned, with accommodation central at the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine. There are tons of activities planned. But the big event will be a Banquet on Sunday evening where a 20th Anniversary Special Edition Miata will be won by a lucky participant.

WAIT ! Registration will be limited to 1500 people. There is no way to predict when registration will be complete, and no one else will be accepted. So, if you are interested in joining a whole bunch of Texas style fun, be sure and log on & tell them you are coming to the Biggest Miata Birthday Bash over Memorial Day weekend 2009.

About UsThe Music City Miata Club Inc is a not-for-profit organization whose sole objective is to enjoy the Miata MX-5 by gathering with fellow MX-5 entusiasts, drive to a variety of scenic locations, and enjoy food, drink and conversation. On the fourth Monday of each month, we meet at Piccadilly's (unless otherwise noted in our home page) in Nashville for general membership and Board meetings.
