6th Annual International
Dogwood Festival
- Sponsored by Tim Hauck & Carrie Besemer
WELL, it's that time of spring in Tennessee when the Dogwoods should be in full
bloom. AND, that's the only excuse Tim Hauck & Carrie Besemer need to get out and make a top down run to Winchester, TN to enjoy the
6th Annual International Dogwood Festival http://www.winchesterdogwoodfestival.com on Saturday May 8. Of course, they'd like nothing better than to have your company.
We'll be meeting at the Spring Hill Cracker Barrel (931) 489-9119, 2020 Crossings Circle, Spring Hill at 12:30pm. Take I-65 south to Exit 53, then take the Saturn Parkway (Hwy 396) 4 miles west to U.S. 31. Exit north onto U.S 31 toward Spring Hill and the C.B. is on your immediate right.
We'll be taking off at 1pm on some good country backroads to the sleepy little hamlet of Bell Buckle, TN for dinner at theBell Buckle Cafe (615) 389-9693, http://www.bellbucklecafe/cafe. Our ETA is 2:30pm. The cafe is located at 16 Railroad Square East in Bell Buckle TN, with a population of 450 souls. They serve up some good grub, including chicken, chops, steak, BBQ, fish & sides. Tim doesn't think you'll be hungry when you leave.
Tim has some more great roads picked out for the remainder of the trip to the
International Dogwood Festival
in Winchester with an ETA of 5pm. This festival is rated in the Top Twenty in the Southeast every Spring. We'll wander and mingle for a bit and enjoy the ambience of your typical Tennessee county seat festival, then settle in for some good entertainment on the Court House Square.
This years special entertainment will be provided by the musical group
"FOGHAT"
http://www.foghat.com/
best know for their smash hit of the 80's called "SLOW RIDE." Best of all, it's all FREE. They have two big stages set up with solid entertainment all afternoon and evening.
Be sure and bring your chairs-in-a-bag and a good warm blanket. So, mark you calendar and plan on joining Tim & Carrie for this fun event. Be sure and RSVP to Tim by no later than Wednesday, May 5 at haucktim@yahoo.com
or
(615) 424-1922, so he can save you a seat at the Bell Buckle Cafe.
