This is a "Heads Up" to all Music City Miata Club Members. The Music City Mustang Club is sponsoring it's 8th Annual Track Event at the Nashville SuperSpeedway on May 23rd & 24th.

You can attend the open track event either on Friday, or on Saturday, with a registration fee of $110.00 per day. This event offers all drivers the opportunity to not only run the Nashville track's interior/exterior Road Course, but also to take advantage of a Driving School, which will be provided as part of the event, at no additional fee. We have also been allocated free indoor garage space for our Miatas. You will have approximately 75 minutes of total track time in 15 minute sessions with drivers of similar skill & experience level. Believe me, this is plenty of time to learn the road course & practice your newly learned skills. The track will usually wear you butt out.

This is an opportunity to test your driving skills and receive expert advice and instruction, while on the track, regarding safe driving at higher speeds. You'll also learn that the limiting item as NOT going to be your little Miata. The Miata will always respond, when you direct it to. You will not be "Racing" against other vehicles or against the clock. The intent is to learn to drive at higher speeds in a safe, confident manner. Ask anyone in the club who has participated in a "Driving School / Track Event" and they'll tell you that their driving skills & self confidence were both enhanced by the experience.

If you are already experienced above the Novice Level, the only restrictions, will involve "Passing" rules. Helmets are required and can be provided by the Miata Club. Liability insurance is included in the fee.

We will invite Jim Chism, from the Music City Mustang Club, to attend a Spring meeting to personally present the opportunity to you for your consideration. However, space is limited. So, if you make up your mind early, let us know & I'll get you an application form and hook you up with Jim.

About Us

The Music City Miata Club Inc is a not-for-profit organization whose sole objective is to enjoy the Miata MX-5 by gathering with fellow MX-5 entusiasts, drive to a variety of scenic locations, and enjoy food, drink and conversation.

On the fourth Monday of each month, we meet at Piccadilly's (unless otherwise noted in our home page) in Nashville for general membership and Board meetings. A variety of weekend events are planned throughout the year, including scenic drives, overnight trips, tech days, drive-in movies, to name a few.

Membership dues is $25 annually.
