ZOOM !  MOON !  JOON !

The Baggetts have a real treat planned for all the "closet" Drive-In Movie fans in the Music City Miata Club. When the newer members in the club find out that there are still "old-fashioned" Drive-In Movies still in operation in, and around, middle Tennessee, they are naturally curious and interested in tapping some of the old memories of their mis-spent youth.

I'm sure most of you have pulled at least one "all-nighter" at your favorite Drive-In. And, who can forget trying to keep the windows defogged, just in case you really wanted to watch the pic. You probably may even have a "souvenir" speaker sitting somewhere in your attic. Well, Tony & Pam are going to provide you with your first "FIX" in 2009.

They will be leading a band of "curious & faithful fans" to the Moonlite Drive-In in Woodbury, TN on Saturday, June 13. The feature attraction will be announced as we get a little closer to the date.

We will be gathering at the Cracker Barrel at I-40 & Mt. Juliet Road (Exit 226) between 12:30 & 12:45 p.m. , departing at 1 p.m.. There will be a drivers' meeting; driving directions and instructions will be furnished at that time. Tony has plans to take about 135 miles of secondary country backroads through Lebanon, Lafayette, Carthage, Dixon Springs, Smithville and on into Woodbury. A rest stop is planned for Lafayette about 75 minutes into the trek.

Supper is planned for 4 p.m. at Cathy's Cafe at 1060 West Broad Street in Smithville, TN. The menu has a good selection of good food at reasonable prices. Tony gives it a big "thumbs up.".

After a few more backroads, Tony has us arriving at the Moonlite Drive-in in Woodbury at around 6 p.m., where we will set up shop on the back two rows and block off our usually "party zone." Be sure to bring your "Chairs-in-a-Bag," a Boom Box, or two, with fresh batteries, some bug spray and a light jacket. We all exit our cars and set up camp to enjoy the movie and the company during the evening. Cost for the Moonlite is $6 for Adults and $5 for Seniors.
