IT'S SUMMERTIME AT THE STARDUST
It's Summertime at the Stardust in Tennessee. And what better way to kick it off than to invite all your Miata club friends to join you for an "old-fashioned" drive-in movie outing.
Vic & Judy Davis have hatched up a real Summertime treat for you this year. They will be taking us back in time to one of the newest dual screen outdoor movie facilities in Tennessee, the Stardust Drive-In at 310 Purple Tiger Drive in Watertown TN http://www.stardustdrivein.com/ (615) 237-0077.
On this outing Vic & Judy will have some special out-of-town guests in attendance. The Atlanta Peachtree Miata Club has expressed a desire to hook up with the Music City Club for our first Summer event of 2011. They will be arriving around Noon on Saturday and will be "lunching" at Toot's in the Murfreesboro. Anyone who wishes to meet them at Toots for lunch is welcome. Following lunch, they plan on some shopping & downtime, before they meet us for the run to Watertown.

OPTION #1: The Music City Club will be meeting at the Mount Juliet Cracker Barrel at 4:00PM. At 4:15PM, we'll pull out and hook up with the Peach Tree clubmembers at 4:45PM. From there, the Davis's will lead the group to Lebanon and dinner at Demos' Restaurant at 130 Legends Drive http://www.demosrestaurants.com/locations.cfm (615) 443-4600. They will have their back room reserved for us and they specialize in steak/pasta combos, scratch pasta sauces, seafood, chicken, burgers, sandwiches & their famous baked chicken soup.

OPTION #2: The Music City Club will be meeting at the Mount Juliet Cracker Barrel at 4:00PM. At 4:30PM, we'll pull out and hook up with the Peach Tree clubmembers at a pre-designated point at 5:00PM. From there, the Davis's will lead the group to Watertown and dinner at the Depot Junction Cafe at 108 Depot Avenue (615) 237-3976. They will have their back room reserved for us and they specialize in good down home country eatin.

Following dinner, we'll take a short ride over to the Star Dust and take up our positions usual position in the back two rows of the theater. Admission is $7 per car. And, if you want to bring in you own food & beverages, there is a $6 food import fee. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed.
Be sure and bring your "chairs-in-a-bag" so we can exit our cars, chat with some of our guests from Atlanta and set up in the aisle between our cars for a better view of the screen. And the real treat for the evening is that June 25th will be the opening weekend - get

this - for 'CARS 2', for our viewing pleasure. And, it promises to be every bit as entertaining as the original classic version.
Don't forget your FRS radios (channel 5/0), chairs, a light jacket or blanket, a flashlight, some bug spray and a big Boom Box, with fresh batteries, as the movie's sound track will be broadcast on a local FM frequency. And, there will be a double feature, so you may want to plan on hanging out for the duration.
The Davis's know you will enjoy this outing, as it represents our first top down Summertime drive-in outing of the season. And we know you'll enjoy having some Miata 'company' from the Peach Tree State for the evening.
