JUNE 14th - BEANS CREEK, NORTHSIDE CLOCKS, JACK'S STEAK HOUSE & MONTANA DRIVE-IN - SPONSORED BY VIC & JUDY DAVIS

Well, We Can Almost Kiss Spring Goodbye. And we can help the Davis's usher in our first Drive-In Event of the year. They have a BIG day planned and they would like to have you come along.

We are starting out at the Cracker Barrel in Murfreesboro at I-24, Exit 81B.  Eat lite, if you arrive early for lunch.  We'll be pulling out of the Cracker Barrel at 12:30PM and taking some outstanding backroads down to Manchester

It's on to the Beans Creek Winery (http://beanscreekwinery.com/index.html) at 426 Ragsdale Road, where we will take a short tour of the facility & then sample a great selection of down-home award-winning Tennessee wines. You can enjoy a selection including Tennessee Traminette, Syrah, Tennessee Muscadine & Wild Mountain Blackberry. We'll probably pop one or two corks before moving on to the Northside Clocks.  They also sell cheese and snacks and have a place to enjoy all of these at their site.

Then we will take the long drive (about 150 feet) toNorthside Clocks (http://www.northsideclocks.com/), just down the road a piece at 2032 MacArthur Drive. Three (going on four) generations of owners have explored the inner workings of thousands of clocks, visited hundreds of auctions, estate sales & closeouts to find the perfect collection of over 2000 smoothly ticking clocks. Northside has an amazing selection o f Grandfather clocks, Mantle clocks, Black Forest Cookoo clocks, a German Wag-on-the-Wall clock. The Davis's have made arrangements for a group tour conducted by Howell Rust. He'll make sure we don't miss any of the unique time pieces and give us some of the history behind many of his clocks. We'll finish up with a tour of their repair shop.

Next on the agenda is dinner at Fast Jack's Steak House at 122 West Lincoln Street in Tullahoma. It's an old time downtown country steakhouse in the heart of town.  It's also the best steak house in town.  Check out the menu attached to this notice ! !  We should be arriving about 5:00 PM so, hopefully, you won't be too full of cheese and wine (whine?) that you won't be able to enjoy some great steaks!

And what could be a more fitting close for the day than an old-fashioned drive-in movie at the Montana Drive-In (http://www.montanadrivein.com/) at 10251 Tullahoma Highway in Estill Springs TN. The Music City Miata Club traditionally enjoys drive-in outings more than any other warm weather event. The Montana is a new triple screen venue, showing some of the best first run movies available. The club usually reserves the back two rows, so we can spread out and have a party for two to three hours. Some will actually watch the movie.

So there you have it. The Davis's are looking forward to a big turnout. And, if you can't make it early at the winery OR you can't stay late for the second feature, they are sure you'll find some reason to "Join the Fun" on the 14th of June.

Just let them know when & where you plan on jumping in & they'll be sure to save you a place (vicandjudydavis@comcast.net OR 615-370-3308).

Final information & movie option to follow.
