39th Annual Smithville
Fiddlers' Jamboree
- Sponsored by Stan & Chris Wruble

If you enjoy Bluegrass Music and Old Time Fiddlin', the Wrubles have the event for YOU !  Join them on a trek to Smithville, TN on July 3 for the 39th Annual Smithville Fiddlers' Jamboree Home: http://www.smithvillejamboree.com/; History:http://www.smithvillejamboree.com/history/; Schedule:http://www.smithvillejamboree.com/schedule/

More than just a music festival, this is THE Official State and National Championship Fiddlers contest.  Musicians from around the globe will be competing for big dollar prizes during this two day event.  And there is much more than just fiddle playing...there will be vocal contests, banjo competition, dobro "play-offs", guitar picking contests, cloggers, dulcimers...harmonicas...autoharps. There will be soloists and there will be complete bluegrass band competition, as well.  More music than you can shake a horsehair bow at!  There will be crafts for your browsing and shopping pleasure, food and fun galore!

We will meet at the Murfreesboro Cracker Barrel (Exit 81B at I-24) on Saturday July 3 at 2pm.  We will pull out of the parking lot at 2:15pm for a lively cross country drive to downtown Smithville. Stan & Chris are making arrangements for the Club to have an early dinner at one our favorite Cafe's in Smithville. Supper is planned for 4pm at Cathy's Cafe at 1060 West Broad Street (615) 597-8550. The menu has a broad selection of good food at reasonable prices. Or, you can check out the buffet if you like. And the waitresses have challenged us to another water pistol fight. So come locked and loaded.

We will leave the return trip home completely open.  Some may want to stay later into the evening...some may need to leave early for other holiday plans...Just be sure to bring your radio so we can keep up with each other.  If you have chairs-in-a-bag, it would be a very good idea to bring a couple with you, as well.

Stan & Chris will be anxiously standing by to accept your RSVP to thewrubles@comcast.net or 615-306-1197.
