MCMC RETURNS TO THE FARM HOUSE
AT FONTENEL ON JULY 16
Chris & Lori Provencher are at it again. They took a small group of MCMC members to Fontanel on an impromptu run back in January. The participants
enjoyed it so much, we asked Chris & Lori to give the rest of the club a chance to run a few good roads on July 16th, and, of course, wind up at the Farm House Restaurant at Fontanel for dinner. The Farm House features home-cooked southern food, much of which comes straight from area farms and producers. Live Music is an integral part of the experience, especially on Saturday night... The Farm House Restaurant boasts a talented line-up, performing from the Gibson
Tunesmith Stage. http://www.fontanelmansion.com/farmhouse-restaurant.php.
For those of you who are new to Nashville, Fontanel Mansion, the 27,000 square foot former home of country super-star Barbara Mandrell, is quite impressive. The Mansion http://www.fontanelmansion.com/mansion-tickets.php (615-724-1600 x222) boasts over 20 rooms, 13 bathrooms, 5 fireplaces, 2 kitchens, an indoor pool and even an indoor shooting range. Fontanel Mansion is open for tours Tuesday-Sunday from 10:00AM-3:00PM, beginning at the top of each hour.
Also, on the grounds of Fontanel, you will find an outstanding musical venue called "The Woods Amphitheater"http://www.woodsamphitheater.com/.
It boasts a wonderful outdoor setting and some great entertainment. NOTE: YES & STYX just happen to be playing in concert there on the evening of July 16th.
We will be meeting at the Long Hollow Pike Cracker Barrel (next exit north of Rivergate on I-65) at 3:00PM and pulling out at 3:30PM, taking a bunch of familiar "Ridge Top" & "Portland" roads
up, thru, across, along, down & back up (more than once or twice) before winding up back at the Farm House at 4225 Whites Creek Pike in Nashville for dinner at 6:00PM.
Chris promises that this will be a spirited run and that there will be no ice or snow on any of the route he has planned.
Just RSVP to Chris or Lori at ltminch661@aol.com or (615) 719-1124.
