Winter Run to the Bayou
- Sponsored by Tim & Carrie

What a way to kick off the MCMC New Year and break out of our "cabin fever" and the "winter blahs".

Papa Boudreauxs Cajun Kitchen is the result of yet another successful "transplant" from New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina.

Papa imported some authentic Cajun recipes and continues to serve up some the best Cajun food this side of New Orleans. His little restaurant only seats 30 to 35 people. So, we try to get there ahead of his "regular" crowd.  It's nothing to see license plates from 2 or 3 states in his parking lot. And, Papa keeps on getting those wonderful reviews in Southern Living once or twice each year.

Tim Hauck & Carrie Bessimer are inviting you to take a run down to Fly, Tennessee on Sunday afternoon for a Banquet straight out of the Bayou. They have chosen some great backroads to whet your appetite.

Papa has it all, from Crayfish & Shrimp Jambalaya, to Sausage & Chicken Gumbo, to Red Beans & Rice w/Sausage, to Shrimp Creole, to Crawfish & Shrimp Etoufee, to Garlic Shrimp Cheese Grits w/Creole Catfish, to Fried Oysters & Scallops. And, be sure and save room for one of PaPa's scrumptious desserts. The selection is big, as are the servings. For the full menu go to: http://papaboudreaux.com/papamenu.pdf

Papa encourages you to import your favorite spirits and only accepts checks or cash.

We will be meeting at the Franklin Square (about a mile west of I-65 on Hwy 96) at 1:30pm on Sunday, Jan.16 (rain or shine). Tim & Carrie plan on pulling into Papa's in Fly around 3:30pm. We should be thru eating and on our way back to parts north (up the Natchez Trace) around 5pm, and home by 6pm.

This is a great "warm-up" for our run to the French Quarter Music Festival in April. Yall Come, Ya Hear !

Just let Tim & Carrie know you will be making this run to Fly. RSVP to haucktim@yahoo.com or (615) 424-1922.
