No, it’s not a political scandal (not yet, anyway!). It’s the 3rd Annual Super Bowl Party, a.k.a., the Super Tailgate Party (Super-gate; get it?) at Phil & Lois Matisak’s home Feb. 3.
Don’t worry about what to wear or whose playing! Dress code is “stadium casual.” That means wear your favorite team’s jerseys or colors – hometown, college or Super Bowl favorite.
And the menu? That’s easy, too. It’s tailgating, right? So, just bring your favorite tailgate recipe or finger-food. Some for you; some to share. Grills and aprons will be available if you need them.
Beer, soda and mixers will be provided. If you have another favorite adult beverage, feel free to bring it along.
Parking is free, so get a choice space beginning at 4:30 pm. The game starts at 5:15 pm (Central).
And the competition won’t be limited to the big screen. There’s been quite a bit of “smack talk” going on in the Club about who makes the best deviled eggs. So get your celebration ditty ready, and mix up your favorite deviled egg recipe – one dozen only, please!
If you cringe at the thought of making – or eating – deviled eggs, don’t worry. There something for everyone at Super-gate. We’ll all be the judges on two scores – the best deviled eggs AND the best tailgate recipe. “Fabulous” prizes await those who make it to the judges’ “end zone.”
