April 9-11, 2010 French Quarter Fest sponsored by Jerry Hammock   A "Big Enjoy" in the "Big Easy!"   If you missed it last year, don't do 'dat agin! The best value in French Quarter fun is without a doubt this three-day festival in the Quarter -- all free entertainment at various stages throughout the Quarter and Riverfront. We'll be staying in the Quarter at the Holiday Inn Express again -- all Festival activities within walking distance! In the meantime, check out last years photos and details at http://www.musiccitymiataclub.com/apr-16-19---french-quarter-fest.htm Update Oct. 13, 2009 To all my fellow Cajuns (in spirit at least):  Thought I would go ahead and send out the Holiday Inn - French Quarter reservation number  (504-529-7211 ext 2162), so that you could make your reservations early, if you so desire.  Just to remind you, the nightly rate is $150 (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday) and $99 for Sunday.  In addition, a $13 daily rate for secure parking will be charged.   We have a block of 15 rooms, so you might want to go ahead mad make your reservations.  They will ask you for a credit card #, however, no charges will be made to that card until we arrive.  One bit of caution, there is a 30 day cancellation policy, so if you make reservations and for whatever reason, can't go, you will need to cancel before March 8, 2010.   There are currently (6) Couples signed on for this trip. Will issue a full description of Event after the first of the year. But you can bet this will be a good one. So don't wait to book a room.
